HOW DOES IT DIFFER FROM A MILKSHAKE?

  • Malt is a natural product made from grain which is soaked and allowed to sprout before being toasted; sprouting the grain (most commonly barley) converts much of the grain's starch into sugar; roasting carmelizes these sugars.
  • Malted Milk is a mixture of powdered malt and powdered milk. It tastes wonderful, but, you guessed it: high in calories!
  • A Malted Milk is a milk shake with malted milk powder added . Yes, the resulting treat is very different from a milkshake. The malt imparts a distinctive nutty, earthy sweetness.
